Shoulder to Shoulder Pittsburgh celebrated its 6th annual benefit dinner on Friday, September 9, 2011. The event was held at The Pittsburgh Athletic Association in Oakland with 90 people in attendance. After enjoying a tasty dinner, folks had the opportunity to hear from two speakers about their time in San Jose. Gabe is a medical student who spoke about the need for medical care and the advances Shoulder to Shoulder has made in San Jose. Karen, a non-medical volunteer, spoke of the involvement of the local health committee members. We had hoped to Skype with the health committee in San Jose, but they were having difficulty accessing the internet. Thank you to everyone for a successful night.
